Hi,
It has been nearly a year since I lasted updated the blog and it is about time I started to put in notes again. At this point it is almost September and I am in the early stages of preparation for a trip to Tokyo, Japan. Well mostly Tokyo, there should likely be some day trips out to Kyoto and a couple other places.
This time I am not traveling by myself. Originally, my friend George and I were to be the two that were going, but since then we've added on Scott and Brien. Scott will only being going for one week out of the two that the rest of us are scheduled for because his work sucks. Both of them have since gotten their passports successfully so everything should be in order as we starting counting down the less than two months until take off.
I have added to my camera accessories by purchasing a wide angle lens and a new camera bag that holds everything a bit less tightly than last year's bag did. I will be doing the same kodakgallery postingsas I did last year in an effort to chronicle visually what I have experienced during the day.
I am pretty sure the hotel we are staying at, the Shiba Park Hotel which is situated near it's namesake the Shiba Park, will have a real and good internet connection so I will take the drubbing each day in internet expenses to make sure the images are posted in a timely manner and my blog is updated more regularly than my hop across the UK and Ireland.
Here is a link to the Shiba Park Hotel website. We will be flying United from Logan to O'hare to Narita. We expect to be buying Japan Rail passes to get us around and about for the day trips outside of Tokyo and for the subway runs around town and to Yokohama.
I have not started packing yet but that will be happening soon enough.
